Hello, my name is Tammy. I am the blog owner of Thrift N Styles. I was inspired to start Thrift N Styles because I like clothes and growing up, my parents were on a limited budget. My parents went to a few retail stores to purchase some new clothes for me but the rest of the time it was at thrift stores. That memory stuck with me ever since.

About two years ago, I transitioned from a contract job to a full-time permanent job at a small company. The dress code to dress “business-like” at this small company is not enforced. However, I wanted to continue the tradition that was implemented in my previous job which was to dress business-like. Even though I am on a limited budget, I wanted to find a way to still look business professional yet stylish and let others know about my experience.

My blog, Thrift N Styles, is a way to educate and to provide tips about thrifting and sustainability. It also spotlights people via interviews who find their best thrifts. I also, have a podcast called “Tammy’s Thrift N Styles” that can be found at Sound Cloud that compliments the blog and briefly talk about topics that relates to thrifting.

With Thrift N Styles, I would like to continue to have a positive impact to let others know that thrifting is accessible and yet sustainable at an affordable price. Also, I will be offering workshops online and at my local libraries starting next year on thrifting.
