Social media and other online outlets could affect your self-esteem because when you see other friends, family or associates doing good things such as getting married, starting a new relationship or starting a new family although you are happy for them, most of us tend to start to compare ourselves to the good things that happens online. In most cases, when we don’t feel we equal up to what we’ve seen, that’s when our emotions and our self-esteem plunges. Do yourself a favor and take a break from your cell phones and electronics.

Someone when we hang around certain people for so long, we don’t even take into account how negative people can be towards life and towards us. Don’t allow people to talk negatively about you or to you stay positive.  Keep in mind that this rule doesn’t apply to your real friends but if you start to notice that your self-esteem only takes a nose dive around a certain sect of people then it’s time to change your circle.
