My name is Jordyn C and I write the blog The Chronically Unimaginable. It is a blog about chronic illness, mental health, and disability that is written from a personal point of experience. I like to research connections between conditions, symptoms, and unknown benefits with these afflictions. Also, I love to feature people with conditions who are doing amazing and charitable things, in spite of their difficulties.
I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I am 21 years old and am an Ambassador for several chronic illness awareness based companies. I am also a contributor on The Mighty, where I write about similar things as on my blog. I became chronically ill when I was 14 years old and have dealt with mental health conditions for all of my life. My illnesses have made me homebound and I have faced a lot of stigmas because I am not ‘visibly’ ill. I choose to write to advocate for myself and others. Writing has always been a passion of mine, but I began to seriously pursue it last Summer when my health was at it’s worst. Writing helps me to feel free and empowered, while also proving to be a great coping school. The best part about running my blog is that I get to inspire and inform so many people, whereas those people may not have ever been made aware otherwise. My goal is to create a community of supportive people who despite dealing with their individual conditions, will feel that they have a resource to connect to.
