I am Kezzie Rudd-Walton, the creator of Kezzie’s Konfections, a Lifestyle Blog that also sells Hand-crafted Organic, All Natural Sugar Scrubs and Fragrances.  I am an Educator, Entrepreneur, Journalist/Blogger, and Industrious Mother of two!

Why did I Decide To Blog?

I have always been inquisitive and loved to express myself through writing.  The “journalism bug” bit me in high school when I was in my high school newspaper.  In college, I worked both in front of and behind the camera interviewing various dignitaries for my Media courses, which earned me a Broadcast Journalism Excellence Award.  Later, I graduated from college with a Bachelors in Mass Communications in 1999.  After graduating, I worked as an Executive Director of a non-profit organization and completed a Masters in Organizational Management before pursuing a career in the field of Education.

In 2007, I began a Masters of Education in Reading and earned my Teacher’s Certification through that program.  My teaching career began when I taught my first middle school class in English Literature and Composition.  What an experience!  Interestingly, I have taught every grade level from 1st — 8th Grades. I am now certified to teach all subjects, which makes me pretty knowledgeable about many facets of life.   Currently, I work as a Dyslexia Therapist for a public school district.

With that being said, I started my blog as a simple creative outlet not only to offer my opinion about the latest products and services but to also offer my expertise and advice in many areas of life and establish an online community.  As a result of my love of blogging, I am now a Brand Ambassador for The Great North, an apparel company. I have also developed my own line of Organic, All Natural Sugar Scrubs and Fragrances making me a business entrepreneur!  I hope to inspire young girls to follow their passions in life and share them with the world.
