It’s a great week and welcome to the Women With Gifts weekly update.
If you struggle with forgiving others, remember that Christ forgave us. He says that if we are not willing to forgive others neither is He going to forgive us, but He is willing to forgive us when we are willing to forgive others.
“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” (Matthew 6:14-15 NIV)
Forgiveness is never easy. Have the mind of Christ, a mind for forgiveness, and it will be much easier. That is because regardless of how vile the sin may be towards us, even the littlest sin toward the Almighty Creator of the Universe pales in comparison. Yet, He stands willing to forgive us.
Winter is here and many in our area are facing snow storms and wintry conditions. Health experts report that even a 2-degree drop in body temperature results in reduced heart rate, loss of coordination, and confusion. Adults cannot work effectively, and children find it difficult to learn. For most, a warm coat solves the problem. But, for the nearly 15% of Americans living in poverty, a warm winter coat is not in the budget. Take the time and donate to our annual coat drive benefiting single moms and their children. Donations can be made on our website WomenWithGifts.org
Check back next week for more information and tips.
