Hays County in Kyle, Texas authorities have charged a man with murder after a woman was found dead outside of a Kyle home Saturday evening.
Just before 8 p.m., the 911 caller told dispatchers someone inside was injured and needed help. Officers arrived within minutes and found a woman dead in the yard.
Kyle Police say 49-year-old James Keen has been charged with murder. If convicted, he could face five to 99 years in prison.
Officials tell KXAN there were children in the home at the time — none of them were injured. They are now in the care of the Police Department’s Victim Services Coordinator until other family members can take care of them.
Authorities have not said how the woman died, but they say an autopsy will be performed.
Police have not released her identity because they are working to notify other family members.
