Hair Care|Benefits of castor oil for hair growth

Right now, natural hair is becoming more admired. A lot of ladies are making the “big chop” and taking the commitment to stay away from harmful chemicals in order to have a head full of long healthy curls. This process can seem long and hard but if you get your hands on some really good hair care products you will have a lot of fun with your natural hair journey.

One product that many people, including myself have fallen in love with is Castor Oil. It’s filled with minerals and proteins that are very vital to healthy hair growth. It can be used on your scalp, eyebrows, or facial hair. Yes, women and men can use this oil. Castor oil contains Ricinoleic acid which protects your hair, stimulates hair growth, and much more.

Castor oil is really great for someone struggling with hair breakage and/or dry scalp. It has a thick consistency so it really coats the hair, conditions and adds moisture. You want to take your time to apply it all over your scalp and massage it in. I usually do this before bed to give it time to work it’s magic. I also add just a little extra to my eyebrows and lashes. I love the look of full brows and naturally long lashes. This product really works for me and my clients that I have suggested it to. If you happen to have naturally thin hair or a more oily scalp, it might be best for you to only leave the oil on for a couple of hours and wash it out. Just long enough for it to benefit you.

You can purchase this at your local beauty supply store for $10 or less, depending on the brand. I’ve even seen it at Walmart and Walgreens for just a few dollars. A little goes a long way, so you don’t need too much of it. One bottle should last you a couple months and you will start to see results in just a few weeks. I really hope this beauty tip of the week helps you all.
