Well, if you read my previous blogs, you may be aware that I am coming up on my 40th birthday. The big 40! I put a lot of thought into how that number makes me feel and I have to admit that at first, it was a bit of a struggle. But then I reminded myself that I don’t feel like I am turning 40. If I had to pick an age, I would put myself at about 28. Why? Well, the biggest reason is that I take care of myself. I work out on a regular basis, I eat right and I live an active life.
Working out and eating right is not just about a number on a scale. It is also about how it makes you feel as you age. When you don’t work out, you feel every bet of your age or more. Stairs become a little harder to climb, getting up out a chair is just a bit more difficult. We then want to blame it on the fact that we are getting older when in reality, we have the key to reversing time. It is in each and every one of us. All it takes is for you to make a commitment and then see it through. Making the commitment is always the easy part but following through on the commitment is where many of us falter.
So ask yourself, what age do you want to be? The choice is yours and all you have to do is decide. Just remember that you do not have to go at this alone.
